Refund Policy

Effective 19 August 2026. Devsmooth Ltd., Surrey, British Columbia, Canada.

Plain-English summary

Moorfox bills monthly, in arrears: the invoice arrives after the month, for what you actually used. There is nothing paid up front to refund, and you can stop at any time.

If an invoice is wrong, tell us within 60 days and we will fix it. Nothing here limits rights the law gives you that cannot be waived.

The summary is here to help you read the document. The numbered sections below are the agreement.

1. How billing works

The free tier, up to 10 devices, costs nothing and needs no card. Paid usage is billed monthly in arrears, in US dollars: devices at the highest count active on any one day that month (the first 10 stay free), quick support per technician who actually ran a session that month, and, when available, EDR per device that had it switched on at any point in the calendar month. Details and prices are on the pricing page.

2. Why there is usually nothing to refund

Because billing is in arrears, an invoice only ever covers usage that has already happened. Amounts invoiced for actual usage are therefore payable and not refundable. There are no prepayments, minimums, or termination fees that could be owed back.

3. Cancelling

You can stop using paid features, or close the account, at any time. The next invoice is the last one, and it covers only the usage up to that point. Removing a device mid-month does not reduce that month's device count if the higher count was already reached, because the month is billed on its high-water mark.

4. The EDR add-on

EDR (when available) is licensed to us per device per calendar month, so a device that had EDR enabled at any point in a month is billed for that month, and disabling it part-way through does not create a partial refund. This mirrors exactly how the upstream vendor licenses it to us.

5. Billing mistakes

If you believe an invoice is wrong, write to support@moorfox.com or use the Support tab within 60 days of the invoice date. If we got it wrong, we will correct the invoice, and refund or credit the difference, your choice.

6. Service credits and goodwill

Where a signed agreement provides service credits, those are governed by that agreement. Outside of that, we may issue goodwill credits at our discretion; a credit in one month is not a promise of one in another.

7. Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under applicable law that cannot be limited by contract.
