Moorfox

Cron expression builder

Paste a five-field cron expression (or pick a preset) to see what it means and exactly when it will run next. Standard cron: minute, hour, day of month, month, day of week.

Field order, for the millionth time

FieldAllowedExtras
minute0-59* , - /
hour0-23* , - /
day of month1-31* , - /
month1-12 or jan-dec* , - /
day of week0-7 or sun-sat (0 and 7 are Sunday)* , - /

The classic trap: when both day-of-month and day-of-week are restricted, standard cron runs when either matches, not both. 0 0 13 * fri runs every Friday and every 13th, not only Friday the 13th. Times are the machine's local time; check the server's timezone before blaming cron.

Scheduled tasks that report back.

Moorfox runs saved commands across your fleet with output and exit codes captured, so the recurring job is a record you can check rather than a cron line you hope is firing.
